The Fundamentals of Platoon Missions

This section, provides information that Cadets must understand in order to execute Platoon missions. All six types of Platoon missions use these basic tasks. It comprises of the following sections:

• Platoon Organization and Special Teams

• Movement Formations and Techniques

• Operation Orders (OPORD) and Troop Leading Procedures (TLP)

• Patrol Base Operations

• Objective Rally Point (ORP)

• Leaders Reconnaissance

• Actions on the Objective

• Casualty Collection Point (CCP)
