STARFLEET Special Operations (SFSO) is an official auxiliary of STARFLEET International, the International Star Trek Fan Association, under the jurisdiction of the Vice Commander, STARFLEET. SFSO members are also allowed to use the same infantry-style rank titles and insignia as SFMC members in lieu or their Fleet naval ranks. Our goal is to provide each member of STARFLEET with a one-on-one experience, by allowing them to take on the persona of an elite STARFLEET Special Operations Operative. The SFSO Operative undergoes training at the Starfleet Academy, with several training paths to choose from. SFSO Operatives are also eligible for serveral SFSO-exclusive awards.

How can I become a Special Operative?

Once you're a STARFLEET member, you just have to go into the STARFLEET Database, click on "Member" on the sidebar and "Affiliation Status" under that, then select "Special Operations". Then just let the Team Leader know so you can be included in the unit roster (also let the CO or XO know if you want a MACO rank title in your Starfeet personnel file) and begin being eligible for awards.
