We are grateful to be collaborating with wonderful open science initiatives that are contributing towards the mission of achieving more diversity, transparency, and accessibility in academia especially for and by researchers from LMICs (low-middle income countries).
ABRIR - Advancing Big-team Reproducible science with Increased Representation is a working group that aims to diagnose the unique barriers to leadership & participation in Big-team/Open Science faced by researchers from LMICs (low-to-middle income countries)
LIdEC-PPC - Independent Laboratory for Critical Studies in Psychometrics & Psychological Science is a innovative open science scientific production initiative led by individuals from underrepresented groups in Brazil. Our team is deeply committed to advancing the field of psychometrics and psychological science in the global south by disseminating cutting-edge knowledge in an accessible and transparent manner. We believe this will not only enhance the field, but also increase its impact in diverse communities around the world
Psych #rstats Club is an open science peer-based learning platform for statistics and R. We've members from around the world, undergraduates to PhDs, coming together to share resources and learn in a collaborative way. One of the main reasons for starting this club was the observation that students in psychology and other related fields experience several barriers in learning R and statistics. Especially those from the Global South often experience barriers due to the lack of resources, guidance, support, among other things. Psych #rstats Club aims to provide a safe, inclusive and accessible platform for everyone to come together for an engaging peer learning experience in R and statistics.
