Two free mentoring sessions are going to be offered by Dr. Chen at 3:30-5:00 pm on Feb 17 and Mar 3 in West Windsor Branch Mercer County Library (333 North Post Road, Princeton Junction, NJ 08550) for local students to have a better preparation of the local exam.
Contents on Feb 17 are topic 6 (eq) and 10 (orgo and biochem), and contents on Mar 3 are topic 2 (descriptive chem/lab), 5 (kinetics), and others.
Please finish this Google form by Feb 15 for Dr. Chen to have an estimation and better preparation if you are interested.

A intensive 5-day mentoring camp for students who excel in the local exam to prepare USNCO national competition, will be offered by Dr. Chen, an experienced science teacher and chemistry competition coach at the Princeton Int’l School of Mathematics and Science.
Advanced topics including descriptive chemistry, reactions, orgo, etc, will be intensively discussed. Problem solving in both the theoretical part and the laboratory practical will be practiced through tough mock tests and hands on experiment.
Time - Apr 2-6 (9:00 am-4:30 pm, one hour lunch break in the noon)
Location - Princeton International School of Mathematics and Science (19 Lambert Dr, Princeton, NJ 08540)
Targeted students - excel in the local exam and aim at the top150/50/20 in the national exam, a few spots are available for students who has a strong background in AP Chemistry and plan for national exam next year.
Spots - (10-1) students limited by the lab space, first come, first served. One spot is reserved by the local ACS.
Schedule - Morning session (instruction in problem solving, and advanced topics in orgo/descriptive chem, etc);
Afternoon session (mock test, test analysis, lab practical and summarization)

Cost: $1200/week (consumables for lab practical and snacks included)

About the Online Program
A seven-session online mentoring program for preparing outstanding students to compete in the USNCO, taught by Dr. Chen, the coach of IChO gold medalist.
For those who participate the National Exam, they will be prepared well through the program. For those who couldn’t take national exam, this camp is also a great way to prepare them for next year.
Targeted Students
o Scored 40+ in the 2018 Local Exam
o or solid background in both algebra and AP Chemistry.
Platform for the Online Class
o Google Classroom – platform for class materials and discussion
o Zoom –online class platform for engaged and interactive learning experience
o Students – PC or laptop with microphone, touch screen-based devices such as iPads preferred
o Recording will be provided for up to 2 missed classes

This video is the recording of the Live lesson 1 of Dr. Chen's Online Prep Class for USNCO 2020-21 (Season 1) on Sep 27th, 2020. It mainly focused on the advanced topics in Bohr's Model including the quantitative explanation of Hydrogen's emission spectrum and the Rydberg's equation.
