In 2025, Dr. Douglas Glenn received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Virginia Consortium Program in Clinical Psychology, an APA-accredited program jointly sponsored by Old Dominion University, Norfolk State University, and Eastern Virginia Medical School.
He completed his predoctoral internship at the University of Delaware's Center for Counseling and Student Development.

Clinical Psychology Doctoral Student
Bea joined the SPIRIT Lab in 2025. She received her B.S. in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Broadly, her research interests revolve around analyzing social motivations of substance use and attitudes towards treatment-seeking behaviors within gender-diverse populations residing in the Southern United States.

Undergraduate Research Assistant
Gaby joined the SPIRIT Lab in 2026. She is currently pursuing a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Business Administration at the University of Southern Mississippi.
Broadly, her research interests revolve around life experiences and social influences that impact substance use and related behaviors. She plans to pursue a PsyD in Clinical Psychology and work towards becoming a licensed psychologist.
Undergraduate Research Assistant
Aryonia joined the SPIRIT Lab in 2026. She is currently pursuing a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Business Administration at the University of Southern Mississippi.
Broadly, her research interests revolve around cultural identity, social expectations, psychosocial stress, and how these factors influence substance use. She plans to pursue graduate school to further her education in psychology.
Undergraduate Research Assistant
Nitesh joined the SPIRIT Lab in 2026. He is currently pursuing a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Chemistry at the University of Southern Mississippi.
Broadly, his research interests revolve around the relationship between exposure to negative online content, its impact on mood, and the potential for maladaptive coping behaviors such as alcohol and drug use.
He plans to pursue graduate education in a psychology-related discipline.
