To find subject matter and media from the Library of Congress (LOC) records, please follow these easy step by step instructions:

1. Go to the website: https://www.loc.gov
2. At the top of the web page to the right of the LOC logo select which formats you would like to see.
3. Select “All Formats” to give you more results.
4. Type into the “Search Loc.gov” box to the right of the format selection box and type in a subject topic. i.e. Boston Tea Party
5. Click on the magnifying glass icon to start the search and get the results.
6. Your results will be directly below and above the results, you can refine your search through the “View List” and the “Sort By Relevance” tabs and once you have selected your choice you can hit the “Go” buttons to enter your selections.
7. Directly to the right of the screen you are also able to “Refine your results” and decide whether you would like Original Format, Online Format, Date, Location, other locations to find sources, Contributors, Subject, Language and Access Condition.

By utilizing these steps, the user should be able to access a number of resources to research and connect various stories and artifacts together in order to tell story or explain the topic in greater detail.
