Dr. Wendy Rote is an Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of South Florida, St. Petersburg campus. She received her B.A. in psychology from Whitman College in 2007 and her M.A. and Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from the University of Rochester in 2012 and 2014. Her research interests include adolescent-parent relationships and communication processes, adolescent autonomy development and helicopter parenting, parental psychological control and guilt induction, and adolescent-parent discrepant perceptions of the family. She currently lives in Seminole, FL with her husband, two children, and two cats.
