The United States Capitol Police (USCP) is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of Congress, its members, staff, visitors, and the buildings and grounds of Congress. 

Our mission is to protect the legislative process and symbol of democracy, as well as those who participate in it and the millions who come to witness it firsthand. 

We pride ourselves on our diverse workforce, representing various backgrounds and beliefs, which we believe strengthens our organization. 

We also serve as a model in security, crime prevention, and homeland security, acting as ambassadors for Congress and leaving a positive impression on all who interact with us.
