To qualify, you must:
Be a U.S. citizen or national
Be accepted to a college with an Army ROTC program
Be between 17–28 years old (must not turn 31 by Dec 31 of commissioning year)
Meet Army enlistment standards and pass MEPS physical
Pass the Army Combat Fitness Test
Have a minimum 2.5 GPA
Submit ACT/SAT scores for 4-year applicants
Participate in the Simultaneous Membership Program (SMP)
Commit to an 8-year service obligation in the Army Reserve after commissioning
Minuteman recipients can pursue high-demand Reserve jobs in:
Cyber, Signal, and Intelligence (15/25/35 series)
Engineering and Logistics
Medical and Legal Support
Human Resources and Public Affairs
ROTC scholarship applications opened on June 14, 2025. Applications must be started no later than March 4, 2026 to be eligible for review by the Army ROTC National Scholarship Board for the 2025 – 2026 school year.
ROUND 01
Due October 27, 2025
Applications will be reviewed from November 03 – 07, 2025.
ROUND 02
Applications will be reviewed from January 26 – 30, 2026.
ROUND 03
Applications will be reviewed from March 23 – 27, 2026.
4-Year: For incoming college freshmen at state/public universities
3-Year Advanced Designee (3AD): Benefits begin sophomore year; open to state, public, or private universities
