With the assistance of Dr. Ansah and Dr. Omoruyi, MAPS students were able to better understand the typical day of an Ophthalmology Resident, gaining hands-on experience along the way!
What's better than learning about human anatomy? A Book? A video? How about VR! In collaboration with StudioX, MAPS students were able to learn anatomy through augmented reality.
Students were able to learn the processes of conducting ultrasound scans on live patients - imaging vital organs like the heart and liver. Students also learned to insert IV medication all in one interactive workshop with the assistance of Dr. Park!
Over 30 students were able to be trained and certified through a hands on workshop that aids individuals in emergency situations - involving instances were immediate need is required to stop bleeding.
