Feeding birds is not only good for them, but also for you! It's such a great way to get to know your avian neighbors and to begin or enhance your birding hobby. We will talk about how to attract birds to your property, what to feed, what to plant and ways to increase your knowledge and enjoyment of your little corner of earth. You will leave with ideas for where to start if you are new to bird feeding or what to add to bring even more birds into your world.

Pollinators are essential for ecosystems and food systems. Just like us, pollinators need a nutritious diet and healthy places to nest and raise their young. A healthy backyard ecosystem supports soil and plant health for natural control of pests and disease. A landscape rich with a diversity of flowering plants is both beautiful and supports thousands of species of bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and other pollinators.
This program is presented by Laurie Schneider, Executive Director of the Pollinator Friendly Alliance, a grassroots conservation organization concerned about the steep decline of pollinators.
Join Bre Bauerly from Minnesota Native Landscapes as she gives an overview of native plant options for any backyard (and beyond), maintenance tips, and highlights some species you might expect to see visiting your native plants.
This program is presented by the Audubon Chapter of Minneapolis.
