Integrative health is an approach to healthcare that combines conventional medicine with alternative therapies to treat the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. It focuses on preventing illness and disease instead of simply treating the symptoms. This approach considers all aspects of a person's life, including physical, emotional, mental, social, and environmental factors.
Integrative health can include a variety of practices such as acupuncture, yoga, meditation, nutrition, herbal medicine, and exercise alongside conventional treatments like medicine and surgery.
There are many career paths in the field of integrative health including but not limited to:
Integrative Medicine Practitioner (MD, DO)
Naturopathic Doctor
Integrative PA
Health Coach
Nutritionist
Dietitian
Acupuncturist
Herbalist
Ayurvedic physician
Massage therapist
Chiropractor
