Klein is an aspiring Registered Dietitian earning a Nutritional Science degree with a minor in Sports Nutrition. She is entering her Senior year of school and is involved in the W.A. Franke Honors College. The founding and development process of Upsilon Theta Sigma has been pivotal in her personal, academic, and professional growth. Her upbringing in central Illinois instilled in her a very active lifestyle, so now that she is in Arizona, she loves to hike, trail run, and do hot yoga. As she works towards her Registered Dietitian credentials, her passion lies in guiding individuals towards finding a lifestyle of moving their bodies AND enjoying food to the fullest! Firmly rooted in the belief that food is medicine and preventive care is the best care, she hopes to illuminate the path toward a balanced existence. Her vision for this fraternity is to build a tight-knit community of like-minded students to grow their professional development skills while practicing the balanced lifestyle that the Chapter preaches. Upsilon's first active semester exceeded her expectations and she cannot wait to see the good that the Chapter will provide for the community, University, and new members.

Vice President
Kamila Sawicki is entering her Senior year as an aspiring Naturopathic Doctor pursuing an undergraduate degree in Medicine with a focus on Integrative Medicine and a minor in Nutritional Sciences. From a young age, she was instilled with the importance of caring for her body. Growing up in a European household, she was introduced to natural remedies, which sparked her passion for integrative medicine. As a former competitive dancer, Kamila has always led an active lifestyle, fostering a strong connection between physical health and overall well-being. Today, she continues to embrace a holistic lifestyle by prioritizing fitness, proper nutrition, and mindfulness practices to achieve balance in mind, body, and spirit. Kamila is excited to be on the Upsilon Theta Sigma executive board for these next two semesters and is dedicated to promoting a balanced and mindful environment, emphasizing collaboration, wellness, and a forward-thinking mindset that aligns with the organization’s values.

Sara Morneau is an aspiring lawyer from Albuquerque, New Mexico, and is currently pursuing a degree in Nutritional Sciences with a vision of shaping food and healthcare policy. Her passion for advocacy was sparked by witnessing health inequities in Native American communities near her hometown. Combining her legal ambitions with a strong foundation in nutrition and healthcare, Sara is committed to driving systemic change that ensures equitable access to health resources for all. She is looking forward to serving on the Executive Board to create an environment for others to explore different career paths and find their passions while in college.

Treasurer
George is an aspiring Registered Dietitian hoping to obtain a degree in Nutritional Sciences and a minor in Sports Nutrition. His lifelong love for sports, dating back to his childhood when he first discovered his passion for baseball and soccer, sparked his interest in health and wellness which has only grown stronger during his time in Upsilon Theta Sigma. Growing up in Seattle, George was privileged to have such a wide variety of activities that helped foster a holistic lifestyle. Since moving to Arizona, he has strived to maintain this by going to the gym, playing basketball, prioritizing nutrition, and building community. During his time as Treasurer, George hopes to build upon the work of past officers and continue to foster an inclusive and enriching environment. Upsilon Theta Sigma has played a significant role in shaping George’s college experience, and he hopes it can offer the same impact to others.

Public Relations Officer
Dylann Monnett is a dedicated advocate for health and wellness, driven by a deep-seated passion to make a positive impact on the world. From a young age, Dylann witnessed the stark health disparities and the broken food system in the United States, which ignited a lifelong commitment to addressing these issues.
She is entering her Junior year, pursuing an undergraduate degree in Nutritional Sciences and minors in Spanish and Biochemistry. She aims to become a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. With a strong belief in the power of nutrition and a holistic approach to transform lives, she is dedicated to helping individuals achieve optimal health.
Growing up in an environment centered around health and wellness was critical to her life. Weight-lifting and long-distance running have given her the discipline and strength to prioritize health day after day. She strongly believes that the way you treat yourself is the way you will treat others; taking care of the mind, body, and soul gives us enough energy to be in service to others. Having a deep understanding of the mind, body, and soul through daily meditation, yoga, journaling, and spiritual practices has given her a solid foundation to explore the world of holistic health. Upsilon Theta Sigma has been a significant part of her journey, connecting her to a community of people who hold the same values and push her to continue growing in all aspects of her life.
With a vision to create a more equitable healthcare system, Monnett is determined to use her knowledge and skills to bridge the gap between science and practical application in the community. She aspires to work with diverse populations, empowering individuals to make informed choices about their health and well-being.

Upsilon Theta Sigma, Alpha Chapter was founded on October 3rd of 2023. On this day, members of Upsilon Theta Sigma celebrate not only the efforts and dedication of the founders, Audrey Lockman and Klein Powell but also of the original Executive Board (pictured here from left to right: Alex Flores- Advisor; Taylor Maldonado- Public Relations Officer; Miranda Bowdish- Secretary; Audrey Lockman- Senior Co-President and Co-Founder, Austin Taylor- Treasurer, and Klein Powell- Junior Co-President and Co-Founder). The accomplishments of this fraternity have exceeded initial expectations and Upsilon Theta Sigma will continue to make history through its outstanding community outreach, dedicated members, and tenacious drive as an organization. They will continue to reform the health and wellness field by shaping and building up students to be well-rounded and efficient practitioners and professionals.
