President
Alyssa is a third-year student and an aspiring Registered Dietitian earning a Nutritional Science degree with minors in Spanish and molecular biology. From a young age, Alyssa found integrative medicine and nutrition out of necessity as treatment for chronic illness. However, this necessity quickly evolved into a passion, and she hopes to utilize her lived experience as a tool to help pediatric patients with chronic illnesses in the future. As a former competitive dancer, Alyssa has always led an active lifestyle, and she continues to adopt a holistic approach by prioritizing fitness, nutrition, and mindfulness to strike a balance between her mind, body, and spirit. As the new President of Upsilon, Alyssa hopes to build on the work of the past officers while expanding our organization and furthering our mission of educating about sustainable integrative health practices. She is excited to continue fostering the strong sense of community within the chapter while furthering members’ professional skills and knowledge of integrative medicine.

Treasurer
Olivia is a junior who aspires to become a Veterinarian, with plans to eventually specialize within the field. She is currently pursuing a degree in Veterinary Science and minoring in Nutritional Sciences, allowing her to build a strong foundation in both animal health and the science of nutrition. Through this academic path, she is gaining the knowledge and skills needed to understand how diet, disease prevention, and medical treatment intersect in the care of animals.
Since her freshman year, Olivia has been surrounded by the members of Upsilon Theta Sigma, a community that has continually nurtured her interest in Integrative Health. Their influence has helped her recognize the importance of treating health from an integrative perspective—considering physical, nutritional, mental, and environmental factors together rather than in isolation. Over time, Integrative Health has become a guiding principle in her daily life, shaping not only her personal habits but also the way she envisions her future role as a veterinarian.
Olivia now actively incorporates integrative practices into her routine, such as prioritizing balanced nutrition, stress management, and preventative care, and she often shares these values with friends, peers, and fellow students. By modeling these habits and openly discussing the benefits of a more integrative approach to wellness, she has begun to inspire others to take greater ownership of their health as well. Her goal is to carry this same mindset into veterinary medicine—advocating for treatment plans that combine evidence-based medicine with nutritional support and lifestyle modifications to enhance the well-being of both animals and the people who care for them.
