Lets all learn this song together, some of you might already know this song. Listen as many times to memorize the wonderful message that we could all hear right now. In a few weeks, maybe we can all get together on ZOOM and sing it together.
RHYTHM: Quarter and Quarter Rest
Rhythm Writing: Ask your parents permission to go into the kitchen to get a Pot and a mixing spoon. If you don't have these be creative and find something to act as a drum and mallet. Write your own music using the quarter note/quarter rest symbols in whatever order you want for however long you want. When you are finished writing, practice reading the music you wrote. When you can read through without messing up, try playing it again without words just using your instrument of choice.
INSTRUMENT FAMILY: Brass Family

Rhythm Writing: Today, not only are we going to add the Eighth Note to our rhythm writing, we are going to need to make or find something to play our rhythm that shakes. As we think about the string family, think about how many strings are on each instrument. Send a dojo message after researching the following questions: What many strings on an ukulele, a guitar, a piano, and a sitar?

SONG: DISNEY SONG CHALLENGE
New Music Challenge: Now that we have learned my song choice now it is time for yours.
1.) Chose a Disney song and find the karaoke version on Youtube with a parents help.
2.)Using the link above sing the song with the background music playing and upload the video by using the website FLIPGRID. The site will have you click the large green + sign.
3.) Login in with a parent or school Email
4.) Chose your favorite section of your song chose. Record yourself singing a minute and a half of that song.
5.) Follow the prompts after to finish the video, titling it with your name and the Disney Song you chose.

You might remember this music from previous classes. This one is fast so if first you don't get it, remember, that you can slow it down using the setting buttons to delay the tempo.

MUSIC CHALLENGE: VIRTUAL TALENT SHOW
It's that time of year! Time to start preparing your talent. The good thing about a "Virtual Talent Show" is that you can retry until you get your video submission just right! The last day to submit a video (Please try to keep video around 2 and half minutes or less) will be Monday May the 11th. Be creative and come up with fun videos for us to share for the last week of school. Videos can include puppet shows, plays, instrument playing, singing, dancing, magic tricks, mimes, etc. Please submit any video to Mrs. Lee only, the sooner the better. The easiest way to get a quality video to me would be to upload to Youtube and send me the link. If not, sent the video directly to jlee@uplifteducation.org.
