All adult persons 55 or over, living within a radius of 30 miles of the Coy D. Estes Senior Housing, 260 N 3rd Ave, Upland and wanting to take one-day or multi-day trips, are eligible to join.
A member is required to take at least four (4) trips each fiscal year from July 1 to June 30. An overnight trip of 2 or more nights will count as two (2) trips. Cancelled trips DO NOT count as a trip taken. If a membership is cancelled because the four (4) trip requirement is not met, the member must wait one (1) year before being sponsored again.
Members must wear their name badges during all club social events, specially called meetings and on all trips.
Annual dues are $15. Failure to pay dues by May 31 will result in loss of membership.
The club membership is a maximum of 300 persons.
If the total membership on June 30th is below 300 members, the names from the potential member wait list will be added sequentially to the membership to fill the vacancies. Names of future new members will be drawn randomly by the Board in June and shall be added to the bottom of the current wait list (if there is one) in the order drawn.
At the May board meeting, all qualified names shall be drawn and numbered. The name and number will be entered on the waiting list and sponsor slip in the order drawn. The drawing will proceed until all names have been drawn.
When a member sponsors a person who is already handicapped, the sponsor must partner and assist with that member on any trips taken.
If a current member becomes handicapped once in the club, that member is required to get another member to assist them on any trips taken.
