With HuGS our goal is to foster a community of like-minded students that hold a passion for geography and sustainability, both within our School of Geography and Sustainability and beyond. We run social events, like fortnightly coffee catch-ups, and other events that help build real workplace skills and provide networking opportunities, that allow us to form connections in Wollongong and other regions. We aim to keep our members informed on the latest happenings in the club; we report on research and actions occurring in our local community and around the world, where we centre sustainability and geographic values and principles, with place-based, mulit-disciplinary and collaborative approaches. As a club and individuals we wish to share and enact these values to show the importance of geography on a local and global scale.
