2022 Ontario University Athletics Championship

U of T Nordic attended the 2022 OUA Championships hosted by Laurentian University on their campus in Sudbury from February 25-27. Alyssa Stowe, Freyja Moser, Wing Yan Chan, Hannah Pan, Julie Tang, Kevin Chang, and Louis Zhang completed three races in two days: 10.5km free individual start on Saturday morning (results), 3x3.5km free relay on Saturday afternoon (results), and 10km classic mass start on Sunday (results). University Nordic Ski Team Longest Ski

UBC Ski Team organized a distance challenge, inspired by uOttawa's pushup competition. U of T placed 6th overall, with the men placing 5th and women placing 7th (results).

Canadian University Nordic Ski Team Pushup Competition

Thank you to uOttawa Nordiq for hosting the first Canadian University Nordic Ski Team Pushup Competition! UofT placed 11th overall, with the men placing 11th and women placing 12th. We even had some alumni take part. See the event page for details and results.

2020 Alumni Ski Day

Current and former team members got together at Highlands Nordic on February 29 for some skiing and lunch together.

2020 Ontario University Athletics Championship

U of T Nordic attended the 2020 OUA Championships hosted by Algoma University at the Soo Finnish Nordic Ski Club in Sault Ste. Marie from February 21-23. For the first time in many years, U of T had a complete women’s and men’s relay teams at OUAs with Laura Inkila, Arina Sitnikova, Wing Yan Chan, Rui Xu, Eamon Kelly, and Matthew McNeil. Special thank you to Markku Wainman for waxing. The race weekend kicked off with a 15km classic race on Friday (results), followed by 10km freestyle on Saturday (results), and finished with 3x5km classic relay on Sunday (results). 2020 SOD Parrafin Series Race #4

U of T Nordic attended the 2020 SOD Parrafin Series Race #4 hosted by Mono Nordic in Orangeville on February 1. Eamon Kelly, Rui Xu, Arina Sitnikova, and Wing Yan Chan raced the 10km free (results).

2020 Ontario Cup #3

U of T Nordic attended the 2020 Ontario Cup #3 hosted by North Bay Nordic Ski Club on January 18-19. Eamon Kelly and Rui Xu completed the 10km free (results); Arina Sitnikova and Rui Xu completed the 10km classic (results).

2019 Alumni Ski Day

The first U of T Nordic Alumni Ski Day was held, bringing together current and former members.

Erich Schultze Broke SkiErg World Records

Erich Schultze skied 16,030 metres in one hour on March 26, 2018 to break the SkiErg world record in his age group. Two days later, he skied 6km in 21:30.0 to break another record in the same age category. Read more here.

2019 Ontario University Athletics Championship

Eamon Kelly, Erich Schultze, and Isabelle Maclean represented U of T Nordic at the 2019 OUA Championships hosted by Nipissing University at Nipissing Nordic in North Bay from February 16-18. The race weekend included a 12km classic race on Friday (results) and 7.5km freestyle on Saturday (results).

2019 Canadian Eastern Championships

U of T Nordic skiers Eamon Kelly, Erich Schultze, and Isabelle Maclean raced at the CEC Haywood Pursuit hosted by Highlands Nordic in Duntroon from February 2-3. Day 1 was a 10km classic (results) and Day 2 was a 15km freestyle (results).

2019 Ontario Cup #3

U of T Nordic attended the 2019 Ontario Cup #3 hosted by Walden Cross Country Fitness Club in Sudbury on January 18. Erich Schultze and Michal Leckie were set to race the 10km freestyle, but the race was unfortunately cancelled due to the cold (start list).

2018 Ontario University Athletics Championship

U of T Nordic attended the 2018 OUA Championships hosted by Lakehead University at Big Thunder Nordic in Thunder Bay from February 23-25. Andrei Vovk, Eric Mathison, Eamon Kelly, and Matthew McNeil started the weekend with a 10km classic race (results), followed by a 3x3km classic relay the next day (results), and 15km freestyle to end off the weekend (results). Isabelle Maclean and Devin Ward raced the 5km classic on the first day (results) and 10km skate on the final day (results).

2018 Canadian Eastern Championships / Ontario Cup #3

U of T Nordic skiers Eamon Kelly, Erich Schultze, Matthew McNeil, Eric Mathison and Isabelle Maclean raced at the CEC Haywood Pursuit hosted by Nakkertok Nordic in Gatineau from February 3-4. Day 1 was a 15km freestyle race for the men and 10km for the women (results); Day 2 was a 15km/10km classic race for the men/women respectively (results).

2018 Ontario Cup #2

U of T Nordic attended the 2018 Ontario Cup #2 hosted by Walden Cross Country Fitness Club in Sudbury on January 20-21. Andrei Vovk, Eamon Kelly, Matthew McNeil, and Isabelle Maclean raced 9km classic on Day 1 (results) and 10km freestyle on Day 2 (results).
