Lindsay Roberts

Broadway Actor, theatre educator, and head of her own consulting business, Lindsay Roberts has a myriad of experience in inclusivity and diversity in the world of the arts.

"Diversity, at least, is the presence of difference, and I think art allows us to capture uniquely beautiful differences all together in a space," Roberts said.

Roberts works with theatre education programs around the world, Broadway for Arts Education one of them.

During these projects, Roberts encourages the investigation and reimagining of the methods and language of teaching.

"So, really doing a nice critical analysis of like: how are we talking about the students?" Roberts explained. "How are we talking about the work? Are we using asset-based language, or are we kind of like falling into some of the other tropes we might use to talk about black and brown communities?"

It is this kind of work, along with program creation, that excites and inspired Roberts.
