I'm using @font-face to embed fonts in my website. First the text renders as the system default, and then (once the font file has loaded presumably) the correct font renders a fraction of a second later. Is there a way to minimise/get rid of this delay, by delaying the page rendering until after fonts have loaded or similar.
Only IE loads first the font and then the rest of the page. The other browsers load things concurrently for a reason. Imagine that there's a problem with the server hosting the font or with the font downloading. You will hang your entire site until the font is loaded. On my opinion a flash of unstyled text is better than not seeing the site at all

The solution is to not listen for DOMContentLoaded but instead go oldschool and listen to onreadystatechange and wait until the document.readyState === 'complete' which is always triggered after font-face is applied (as far as I can tell by my tests) - which is of course what always happens in IE since it doesn't support DOMContentLoaded.
I am sending out emails to the first 100 people for the private Stack Overflow beta; the email contains the password necessary to log in, as well as a link to this post. I will continue to email 100 people per day until all ~500 people on the private beta list have invites.
Treat the beta like a real live website! Don't put "test" or "fun" or "play" questions up -- ask actual, real, bona fide honest-to-goodness programming questions! Answer other people's programming questions! If you look some programming question up on the web and you are unsatisfied with the results, post the question and answer on Stack Overflow (yes, it is OK and even encouraged to answer your own questions, if you find a good answer before anyone else.) I want Stack Overflow to be your research notebook for every programming problem you face that you don't immediately know the answer. Help us help you.
For best results, please avoid mailing us directly, and use the stackoverflow.uservoice.com for your private beta feedback. It's also linked from the beta site itself, right there in the header. From here, you can:
Hi Guys. A little bit about me:The Jewels first, then the Profession:THE JEWELS:I have been married to the love of her life and kidney transplant donor, Joseph for twenty-five years. I tried changing the IQ rate and samples per fetch but best case this only extends the time until I see the issue. I tried it on a different Computer (same Make/Model) as well and see exactly the same issue.
WIth any application, if you're not taking samples out of PC memory faster than they're coming in, then you'll get the buffer overflow error. This isn't unique to the USRP. That said...large computer memory, lower sample rates, larger fetches, etc. will all help extend the time till overflow if your data processing is taking so long as to slow down your rate of fetches out of memory.
The time until I get the error message for the attached VI is usually in the range of 20s to couple of minutes. I observed that with higher IQ sample (for example10 MS/s) it ususally crashes within seconds. Also the number of samples per fetch has an influence on that, as expected. But even if I chose IQ rates as low as 1KS/s I see the issue usually within a minute or two.
This sounds in line with my own experience...both with the examples and with developing my own applications. With some of the example VI's that do continuous acquisition, it would not be uncommon, based upon both your machine as well as what your LV code is doing in between fetches, that you'd get an overflow. This is especially true at wide BW's.
Recently I face the same problem like you. How do you solve the problem in the end? I use both USRPs as TX and RX. But the RX occurs overflow when I specify the higher IQ rate. If you have any good method to solve this problem, please let me know. Very appreciate.
The Rules. (from _(card_game)) The deck is divided evenly among the two players, giving each a face-down stack. In unison, each player reveals the top card on his stack (a "battle"), and the player with the higher card takes both the cards played and moves them to the bottom of his stack. If the two cards played are of equal value, each player lays down three face-down cards and a fourth card face-up (a "war"), and the higher-valued card wins all of the cards on the table, which are then added to the bottom of the player's stack. In the case of another tie, the war process is repeated until there is no tie. A player wins by collecting all the cards. If a player runs out of cards while dealing the face-down cards of a war, he may play the last card in his deck as his face-up card and still have a chance to stay in the game.
In most celebrations involving sake, a glass is placed inside the masu cup, over which the host will pour sake until it overflows into the masu like a waterfall. The overflowing is an act of kindness and generosity by the host to show their appreciation for your friendship (or, in a restaurant setting, for your business). It also works as a little act of celebration, to lift the spirits and to enjoy the present state of life. Watching the sake overflow and not knowing whether it will tip over presents a beautiful moment of suspense, when time seems to almost slow down. By introducing this moment of suspension, this ceremony keeps your mind in the present moment, focused only on the beautiful waterfall of sake. And ceremonies, like any other ritual, come with rules.
How to Drink
If drinking directly from the masu, hold cup diagonally towards you with hands on two opposing corners, so that a third corner faces you directly. Hold the cup close to your face and take in the aroma of sake, which will be slightly tinged with the smell of fresh cedar. Tip back taking a small sip, and let it linger in your mouth for a moment before swallowing.
As the landmarks of my childhood were erased one by one, I felt hopeless. I had been uprooted and left adrift, losing a half of my life I had always taken for granted. Looming over this loss was a constant fear. I had seen the devastating loss of life and the toll the war was taking on my country. I lost track of some of my closest friends and watched as others fled, becoming refugees in Jordan, Turkey and all over the world. That fear and despair paralyzed me- until my parents helped to host their first fundraiser.
Great question! One hour should be plenty. If you open it too soon, you'll have an explosion of boiling liquid in your face and on your arms. However, if you wait for it to cool for an hour, you should be plenty safe.
Some forums will suggest only 15 minutes; you're probably okay with that, but you're better to wait 45 minutes to an hour. If you really want to play it good and safe, put on gloves when you pull the cap and turn your face away as you give the final tug.
Turn off the faucet: Turn off the faucet while brushing your teeth, doing dishes, washing your face or cleaning. Don't let the faucet run while cleaning vegetables. Put a jug of water in your refrigerator rather than letting the water run to get a cold drink.
In 1975 the MWRD began construction of the Tunnel and Reservoir Plan (TARP). The system captures excess stormwater and wastewater until it can be treated at one of three MWRD plants. TARP was designed to prevent flooding and combined sewer overflows. However, while the system of tunnels and reservoirs has contributed to significant improvements in water quality, the reservoirs are not complete and climate change has exacerbated these issues. 17dc91bb1f
