France Takes the Rule of Law Very Seriously 

In 1386, a pig was executed in France. This pig had attacked a child. The child would later succumb to their wounds and die. The pig was found, arrested, kept in prison, and sent to stand trial for murder. It was found guilty and then was executed by hanging. 

Liberty Steaks?

During World War II, Americans changed hamburgers to "Liberty Steaks" because the word "Hamburger" sounded slightly too German. 

Who Said Unsinkable?

Unlike the movie portrays, the Titanic's owners never said it was unsinkable. This means the passengers who boarded the Titanic would have no reason to believe the Titanic was a unique, unsinkable ship.

In 1833 Abraham Lincoln opened a bar called Berry and Lincoln with his friend William F. Berry. For this business, Abraham Lincoln had to become a licenced bartender. Sadly the business closed when William Berry drank most of the bar's stock.
