The UNR AWM Student Chapter was established in 2020.

 We are made up of students and faculty who are interested in the support and encouragement of women and underrepresented minorities in mathematics. AWM's purpose is to encourage women and girls to study, and have active careers in professional mathematics and the mathematical sciences, and to promote equal treatment and opportunities within the field. Our mission is to facilitate activities that support this purpose, both at the graduate and undergraduate levels.

 All UNR students at the graduate and undergraduate levels, post-docs, and faculty of any gender are welcome to join. We invite everyone who supports the purpose of AWM to our meetings and to become a member of the chapter. We emphasize that the chapter is open to all genders and to both graduate and undergraduate students.
