The British Empire Revisited

Four panelists and a moderator assessed the contemporary legacy of colonialism in the British Empire, focusing on the Celtic peoples of Scotland, Wales, and (the two) Irelands, and the peoples of the first nation outside the UK to leave the empire – India. Brexit may make a cameo appearance.

Brexit: A Discussion

Four panelists and a moderator offered a background sketch on the history of Brexit, alongside perspectives on this issue as viewed in the two Irelands, Scotland and Wales, as well as England. The Panel introduction merged into a general, quite lively discussion among members of the audience and the panel members and moderator. A minimum of one hundred people attended this event, including members of the UNM community and the greater Albuquerque community.
