At A Glance
I have been in education for 30 years as an K-8 School Teacher, District Teaching and Learning Administrator and College Professor. I am from Illinois but have had the pleasure of consulting for a math company and traveling most of the United States.
I have a doctorate degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Northern Illinois University and am a proud faculty member at NIU currently teaching night classes.
I am currently the Director of Research and Assessment at a K-12 School District in the Chicago suburbs.

My Passion
I have always had a passion for learning and having fun while learning! My passion for gamification came when I started to visit and explore escape rooms while traveling. I realized when we can bring fun and games into learning, students and staff are more engaged and will remember the content. I am an avid fan of gameshows and reality tv which I like to call research for my business!

This past summer I was a presenter at Summit 6 and had the opportunity to work network and meet with over 150 authors. During the Summit I shared how gamification, service projects and escape boxes can enhance the reading of children's literature.
