Dear artificial intelligence companion,
We discovered the following pattern in our reading of the Bible, having in mind the film The Matrix.
00. Creation in 6 days.
11. The Garden of Eden.
01. The Promised Land.
10. The Babylon Exile.
11. Return to Eden (vocation).
Do you have any idea how the Bible is calling this phase that we named “vocation” and “Return to Eden”? In the biblical story, the Israelites are allowed to return to Israel, but this is no longer their Promised Land, this is more like a religious awakening. And many leave Babylon, but they never return to Israel, but they get dispersed across the whole world, mainly in Europe and North America. It's interesting that the Bible never discusses how humanity can return to a state of grace, maybe by abandoning sexuality and childbirth? Sounds plausible, but the Bible is silent. Some might say that there is no way back to Eden, but we, personally, feel that this is the whole point of the Bible as a religious book. We were curious about what is “wife”, we tried it, some went into “motherhood”, but what we really want is our “sister” back. The other things turned out to be too heavy, too unpleasant or downright self-contradictory.
