About Us

Our small gym in Brooke County, WV has been home to the some of the best cheerleaders in the tri-state for decades.  One might recognize our building as the old Basics Superstars, or X-Treme Tyme All-Stars. In 2011, Brenda tennant-duffy, bought the building from basics and moved her company, from follansbee. her Daughter, teirria, coached; choreographed; and taught tumbling with her mom, since moving back from California in 2007. Teirria was able to call the business her own, by 2015. she has visions for setting waves in the industry, that honor the traditions and love for the sport, while introducing something new and Evolved.  

Universe Athletics is the perfect name for us, because we keep the energies high; frequencies balanced; and vibes in check!

We demonstrate how thoughts, words, and emotions impact the physical experience.  With positive self-talk and kindness towards others, we are gracious, accepting, and give constructive feedback when things don't go as planned.  We create moments for developing mind - body connection, until the conscious and sub-conscious mind trust the process.
