Unity Lodge 100 Year Celebration Coins now available!
Unity Lodge is more than just a name. It represents a commitment to preserving the history, traditions, and fellowship of the Masonic lodges that came before us.
Over the Last century, many smaller lodges in our area faced declining membership. Rather than allowing these lodges to simply close their doors and their history to fade away, their members chose another path: Unity
Through the years, several lodges came together and merged into what is now Unity Lodge, Our history includes them and they will not be forgotten.
Isom Lodge, Adobe Walls Lodge, Plemmons Lodge, and Gruver Lodge.
Each lodge bringing it own traditions, memories and generations of Masons into the lodge we have today.
When we meet as Unity Lodge, we carry forward more than our own name. We carry the traditions, stories, and legacy entrusted to us by those who came before.
Unity is not about leaving the past behind. It is about bringing it forward together.
Unity Lodge #1242 is the local masonic lodge serving Borger, Texas. Originally chartered as Isom Lodge on December 8th, 1926, and operates as a subordinate lodge under the Grand Lodge of Texas in Masonic District #102.
Our members come from communities throughout Hutchinson County, and from many different walks of life. Every Mason has walked a different path, and within our Lodge, we believe there is something to learn from the experiences and mistakes of those who came before us. Our Membership is just as diverse as the community we serve, with Refinery Workers, Cattle Ranchers, Business Professionals, and Entrepreneurs all meeting together on equal footing. Masonry is unique where you could have a Gardner and the President of the United States in the same lodge meeting as equals.
We believe that being a mason means being involved in bettering the community that we call home, chances are you've seen us in the community before. In years past we've donated scholarships to local high school students who plan to better themselves and in turn their communities. You've also likely seen us at the Hutchinson County United Way "Back to School" fair, over the past few years we've become a staple with our smoked sausage on a stick making that 100+ degree weather just a little more bearable
