The girls' basketball season at University High School runs from November through January.

• Tryouts: 

  • New Players: Aug 28

  • Returning Players/Fall Sports Players: Aug 29

  • Make-up: Sept 11/12

• Regular Season: November – January

• League Play: January

• CIF Playoffs (if qualified): February

Basketball is a winter sport, and our schedule includes games and practices during:

• Thanksgiving Break

• Winter Break

• School holidays within the season

Participation in high school basketball requires a full seasonal commitment. Games and tournaments are scheduled throughout the winter season, including holiday periods. Players and parents will be required to sign a program agreement acknowledging:

• The winter season timeline

• Holiday participation requirements

• Attendance expectations

• Commitment standards
