OTDR APL-2, 3 File Saving Methods

OTDR APL-2 Managing File Name In Any Format

eg. 2ARM00.T001.T015.1625.010.sor

To select the field and delimiter to form a file name

To define the increment for the next file

OTDR-SCREENSHOT

To tap the arrow in the upper right corner of the screen to hide/show the thumbnail. Tap "Screenshot" below the thumbnail to save the picture in the Micro SD. Fail to save if Micro SD is unpresented.

iOLA (optional)

iOLA: Intelligent Optical Link Analyzer, using a combination of short, medium and long pulses to detect more events with maximum resolution.

High Performance OTDR APL-2 test on a 1x4 splitter + 21km link, using 500ns pulse width, at 1310, 1550, 1625nm, with very low noise of 0.02dB.

The Need for Dynamic Range in OTDR’s

The required Signal/Noise Ratio (SNR) to the total link loss determines the dynamic range (SNR=1) required.

NOTE: the dynamic range varies with the pulse width.
