Word subreddits—communities dedicated to specific words—began as a niche but quickly evolved into a widespread phenomenon. However, before The UWA emerged, the word community underwent a long journey filled with alliances, rivalries, and betrayals.
The first-ever word subreddit, r/TheWordThe, was created by u/AMIASM16. By promoting it in r/TheLettersHEiJAK, the subreddit gained traction, and soon, other word subreddits began appearing, such as r/TheWordBe and r/TheWordA. This led to the formation of the first major alliance: "Be a the"—the early version of what would later become The Alliance. As the trend grew, a new type of word subreddit emerged—vulgar word subreddits. The first was dedicated to the F-word, created by u/AleksLevet, followed by one for the S-word by u/Holiday-Kale9264. Then, u/UziDoormanOfficial created a subreddit for the MF-word. With these new additions, the original alliance expanded and rebranded multiple times, eventually becoming HYBTAWSFAM ("Hi, You, Be, The, actual, Wee, Shit, Fuck, A, Motherfucker"). Over time, it continued to grow, absorbing more word subreddits until it settled on its final, more recognizable name: The Alliance.
Despite The Alliance’s success, tensions flared when u/UziDoormanOfficial clashed with u/AleksLevet over a removed post in the F-word subreddit. Feeling unfairly treated, Uzi left The Alliance and established a rival faction:
The Lunar Eclipse Coalition (LEC🌘). The LEC grew at an alarming rate, posing a serious threat to The Alliance’s dominance. However, The Alliance retained majority public support and was able to counter the LEC’s influence.
u/GeometryEater**: The Unwitting Spy** u/GeometryEater was a member of The Lunar Eclipse Coalition (LEC🌘), though not by choice—at least, not fully informed choice. As the creator of r/TheWordStupid, he was initially unaware of the ongoing conflict between The Alliance and The LEC. When UziDoormanOfficial approached him with an invitation to join The LEC, he accepted without hesitation, unaware of the faction’s true nature. However, his allegiance soon came at a cost.
Upon learning of his association with The LEC, members of The Alliance turned against him, mocking and ostracizing him. Feeling betrayed and isolated, u/GeometryEater made a crucial decision—he defected from The LEC and joined The Alliance. But he didn’t stop there. Determined to make things right, u/GeometryEater became a double agent, using his position within The LEC to secretly feed information to The Alliance. His espionage efforts would later play a significant role in the downfall of The LEC, solidifying his legacy as one of The Alliance’s most unexpected yet valuable allies.
In a secret Reddit group chat, Uzi reached out to u/The_Chosen_Harry**,** u/SupaMayro**,and** u/GeometryEater, in hopes of strengthening the LEC. However, u/The_Chosen_Harry and his alternate accounts (GeometryEater and SupaMayro) were actually spies. They betrayed the LEC, exposing its plans to sabotage The Alliance. This crippling betrayal led to the gradual collapse of the LEC.
The LEC’s Schemes & Uzi’s Espionage Exposed. The Lunar Eclipse Coalition (LEC🌘) devised several disruptive plans to undermine The Alliance, including raiding Alliance subreddits and altering their rules to allow political content, which would have sown chaos and division. In addition to these aggressive tactics, UziDoormanOfficial attempted to infiltrate The Alliance herself—using an alternate account to spy on their activities. However, her deception was short-lived.
u/The_Chosen_Harry quickly uncovered Uzi’s disguise and wasted no time in alerting the entire Alliance. With her cover blown, Uzi’s espionage attempt failed, further weakening The LEC’s grip on power and pushing it closer to collapse.
As her influence waned, Uzi temporarily retired from word politics. Yet, despite being her rival, u/The_Chosen_Harry did not harass Uzi during her absence. This small act of restraint would later prove crucial in shaping the future of the word community.
When Uzi returned, u/The_Chosen_Harry proposed an unprecedented idea—instead of continuing the war, why not merge The Alliance and The LEC into a single, unified entity? Surprisingly, Uzi agreed. She named this new coalition: The United Words Alliance (UWA) 🌍—a place where word subreddits could unite and cooperate rather than compete. Both former LEC and Alliance members embraced the idea, and thus, The UWA was born. It quickly grew into the only existing word alliance, bringing stability to the word subreddit community.
What started as small, scattered word subreddits evolved into a powerful movement. The UWA now stands as a testament to unity, resilience, and the power of words.
With new word subreddits joining every day, The UWA continues to expand—not as separate factions, but as one united force. ✨
For a time, all was peaceful in the world of words… until u/Money-Drag9211 arrived.
As a moderator of major word subreddits, including r/TheWordThe, they abused their power by unfairly targeting u/Atilla5590—an innocent member of the community.
🚨 Actions taken by Money-Drag9211:
❌ Randomly removing Atilla’s posts and comments
❌ Using their influence to ban Atilla across multiple word subreddits
This unjustified moderation caused an uproar within the UWA. Fortunately, the situation was brought under control—Atilla was unbanned, and Money-Drag was removed from their position.
🔹 Current War Status: We have unbanned Money-Drag and are currently doing peace talks.
