Let's take a look at some movie posters!
Some say that movie posters can be classified into a few kinds:
Observe the posters above and answer the following questions:
How are the different posters visually representing their genres or the themes they deal with?
Are the characters placed in a specific way? What does that mean? What kind of relationship do we understand from the placement of the characters?
Are colors used in any specific way? What do they mean?
What are the essential parts of a poster? (Check your answer ➡️)
2. Netizens who participated in the Goncharov phenomenon kept a record of the parts of the movie that are ‘known’ (or that they invented) so that everyone agreed on what happened in it, and they could add more creations based on it. Now, it’s your turn: with your group, brainstorm and make a list of things that happen in your imaginary movie.
Note: Lore = backstory
3. Now, use the ideas from your list to create a moodboard for your movie.
A moodboard is a visual representation of a concept, and it can be arranged in many ways and include different things.
Some ideas to consider including are objects, people, clothes, places, colors, textures, and quotes or words.

4. It is time to create a poster for your movie! You can gather inspiration from the model posters, the list you made and the moodboard you created in the previous activities to help you.
To create it, you can use the online resources provided in the previous activity. You can also make the poster by hand, or using mixed media (for example, you can make a collage).
What is the title of your movie? Who directed it? Who are the main characters, and who are the actors that play them? Remember to include a tagline for your movie.
Explain your artistic choices in two lines (why is your poster the way it is?).
