Postdoctoral Research Positions in Random Matrix and Number Theory (RMNT Lab), UNIST
The Random Matrix and Number Theory (RMNT) Laboratory at UNIST (Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology) invites applications for postdoctoral research positions.
Eligibility:
Applicants must hold (or be expected to receive) a Ph.D. degree in mathematics. The intended research areas include arithmetic statistics, analytic number theory, and random matrix theory.
Responsibilities:
Conduct collaborative research with faculty members affiliated with the RMNT Lab.
No formal teaching duties are required; however, the successful candidate is expected to lead and supervise graduate seminars.
The postdoctoral fellow may be asked to provide administrative assistance in organizing conferences or seminars hosted by the RMNT Lab.
Benefits:
Annual salary: KRW 48,000,000 (approximately 35,000 USD), plus retirement benefits and health insurance.
Research allowance: KRW 3,000,000 per year.
Term of appointment:
The position is expected to begin in September 2026, though an earlier start date is possible upon mutual agreement.
The initial appointment is for one year, renewable for a second year upon a successful performance review.
Maximum term: two years.
Number of positions:
At least two, up to three positions available.
