Why do we attend USA Camp?
As of the 2021, it is required that 75% of athletes competing at USA Spirit Nationals must complete the summer Varsity Spirit/NFHS Sqauad Credentialing Program. Cheer camp is is a great way for our cheerleaders to bond before the start of the season and it's jam packed with new material. Our team will learn several cheers, dances, stunts and pyramids. By attending camp, our team earns our NFHS (National Federation of State High School Associations) Squad credential which allows us to compete during the season.
The 5 roles of a spirit leader
Spiritleaders are recognizable AMBASSADORS of their schools in the classroom, on campus and in their communiy.
Spirit leaders are ATHLETES and train tirelessly to be in the physical shape required to safely execute their skills.
As CROWD LEADERS, spirit leaders elevate the game day experience by leading the crowd in cheers to encourage the players and generate excitement.
Spiritleaders are ENTERTAINERS anytime they perform exciting and engaging routines for an audience
As a SPIRIT RAISER, spiritleaders are responsible for promoting school spirit and boosting overall morale.
Camp Protocol
Our representation at camp is extremely important to the overall success and reputation of the program. Please remember that USA Staff are always observing and listening. Athletes are expected to be respectful and represent the school in a positive manner at all times. (Camp Rules)
NO Earrings/Jewelry: USA Cheer Camp is EXTREMELY strict on jewelry. All jewelry must be taken out BEFORE camp begins.
