How do you create a digital project that bridges borders and makes cultures tangible? In our Making of, we give you an honest look behind the scenes of our creative work.
From the first brainstorming sessions to the finished one-pager about our partner city Lugo, this journey was above all one thing: a collaborative, hands-on experience. Working in small teams, tasks were divided as we tried things out and experimented. The focus was entirely on practical work: we used professional lighting and sound equipment, captured detailed macro shots, tested video perspectives, and staged culinary treasures. Day one is in the books! Between creative chaos, pro gear, and great team spirit, we laid the groundwork for our one-pager today—from macro shots and sound checks to our first interview clips.
Check out the videos and see how ideas turned into multimedia moments.
Day two was pure action! Diving into a massive wall of equipment brought a few head-scratching moments, but everyone quickly mastered the tech. From macro lighting to AI storytelling, four teams brought their missions to life in three languages. Total team effort and brilliant results!
Day three was all about teamwork and division of labor! The groups split up to cover different highlights across Lugo: while one team explored local history at the Museo Francesco Baracca, visited the town hall (Rathaus), and got an inside look at the impressive Rocca Estense, another team dove straight into culinary traditions during an authentic cooking event with a local Nonna. Unique perspectives, different locations, one shared project—check out today’s video diary!

Today, Klaus Löppert and Bertram Unger from the Kulmbach Volunteer Fire Department (Freiwillige Feuerwehr Kulmbach) visited the professional fire department in Lugo (Fire Department Lugo).
Lugo is a long-standing partner fire department of ours. Building on past exchange programs and historical ties between our departments, this visit successfully reactivated and strengthened our valuable international contacts.
