In wake of the Pittsburgh Penguins losing in the playoffs tonight I have read a lot of fans say that is the end of the one dynasty we have seen in recent years, and I have to say that just is not true.
Behind the Indian Head is a Blackhawks blog, and we post everything Blackhawks. The thing is, the Blackhawks are the original dynasty of this time. They managed to go to 5 conference finals in 7 years and win 3 Stanley Cups in 6 years. The team only lost twice out of the conference finals, with one against (then) Phoenix Coyotes, and Vancouver Canucks. The Hawks also had regular season success, capturing a President Trophy, and the top spot in the west in 2017. The Blackhawks with Kane and Toews have represented what it truly means to be a great dominant powerhouse in the NHL. They are the cornerstone to what a franchise wants to be in the NHL. Also here is a little piece for you, in this playoffs there have been many teams walk into the third period up by 2 or 3 goals, to then go on and lose. In 2015, the Blackhawks were 31-0-0 when leading after 2 periods, that includes the playoffs. The Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup in 3 different ways with the same core dominant players. They are in my opinion a dynasty, and Gary Betman said so as well when he gave out the cup.....
