Round one featured some pretty great match-ups, the Bruins and Maple Leafs had to be my favorite due to the game 7. The Golden Knights and Sharks sweeping their respective series was huge, and the two teams meeting in the second round will add to the gift that is Vegas inaugural season. The Colorado Avalanche proved that anyone can bounce back from a horrible season (except for Matt Duchene), however they fell short of moving past the first round and the Predators now get to continue their quest for the Stanley Cup in a series against the Winnipeg Jets. The Jets and Predators are facing off in the Stanley Cup Final about a month early and will most likely play the winner of the Boston Tampa Bay series. The Lightning did not even flinch when looking at Taylor Hall and the Devils, Hall played great but not great enough to beat the Lightning. Washington nearly missed out on the tradition of losing to the Pengiuns in the second round of the playoffs, luckily they overcame a 2-0 deficit to beat the Blue Jackets. The Penguins also won their series, I would normally be mad about them winning, but it was fun to see them struggle a little against the Flyers, the series had really no defense and was offensively driven, if the Capitals can beat the Penguins defensively things should be good.
Penguins beat Flyers in 6 games
Bruins beat Maple Leafs in 7 games
Capitals Beat Blue Jackets in 6 games
Lightning beat Devils
Vegas beat LA in 4 games
Sharks beat Ducks in 4 games
