Dr. Eulie is an Associate Professor and Graduate Coordinator in the Department of Environmental Sciences at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She received her Ph.D. in Coastal Resources Management from East Carolina University and is an alumni of UNCW. Her dissertation work focused on novel applications of GIS technology to study coastal erosion in the Ablemarle-Pamlico estuarine system. She learned to love the coast and North Carolina while spending summer vacation at the Outer Banks with her grandparents. Her family now calls Wilmington home. Devon loves beagles and resides with two adorable rescues as well as a mainecoon cat (and her family). When not leading the troublemakers of CES Lab she spends her time with her family enjoying the environment around Wilmington, disc golfing, and kayaking.
We are the Coastal and Estuarine Studies Lab, call us the CES Lab for short! We are part of the University of North Carolina Wilmington Department of Environmental Sciences and the Center for Marine Sciences. Dr. Devon Eulie leads this rough-and-tumble band of research students. We conduct research related to coastal processes and management. Our student researchers range from undergraduate to graduate masters and PhD students. Our student researchers participate in a multitude of activities ranging from fieldwork to lab analysis.
The Coastal and Estuarine Studies Lab at UNCW is committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone, regardless of race, sexual orientation, gender, ethnicity, age, nationality, religion, disability, migration status, and socio-economic background, is respected. Discrimination, hatefulness, and disrespect will not be tolerated. We pledge to respect all perspectives, experiences, and ideas, and create a safe learning space. We are stronger together.
