Coastal and Estuarine Studies Lab

The University of North Carolina Wilmington Coastal and Estuarine Studies (CES) Lab is an interdisciplinary research lab of Dr. Devon Eulie.

We are housed within the Department of Environmental Sciences at the Center for Marine Science. Our research spans a wide range of coastal environments and issues. We approach the study of these issues using innovative field and remote sensing techniques and modeling from a cross-section of disciplines (ecology, geology, GIS, and public policy). We aim to assess change in coastal environments over multiple spatial and temporal scales and then work directly with various stakeholders to develop targeted management strategies.

If you are a student interested in conducting research with our lab, please explore our project pages and see what our current students are working on. We currently have students conducting one-semester DIS projects to Masters students working on capstone or thesis projects.

If you are an interested potential collaborator or coastal stakeholder, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are happy to speak with you regarding on-going projects or the potential for a new project.
