Join our Undergraduate Queer Theory Reading Group! This spring we will be meeting six times throughout the semester. Keep scrolling to see our reading schedule, answers to some frequently asked questions, and a form to recommend topics and/or readings for future semesters! We hope to see you soon.
A: No! Meetings are open to anyone and everyone regardless of experience! This "undergraduate" group is meant to mirror an undergraduate-level introduction to ideas of gender and sexuality, so no prior knowledge is required! If you do have prior knowledge, great! Come add to rich discussion.
A: Nope! You can take a look at our reading schedule in advance to decide for yourself which readings or topics you're most interested in and attend only those. You can come to as many or as few meetings as you'd like!
A: All readings are linked in our reading schedule document! Email Emma Culley (emculley@unc.edu) if you're having difficulty accessing the readings.
A: That's totally ok! Even if you didn't do the readings you're welcome to come listen and be in community with us.
