Spring 2024

February 22nd at 6 PM in KRY G508 - Kickstarting Your Application. Come to learn about the application process from students who just went through it! We we will be talking about tips and tricks and the ins-and-out of the process. 

January 24th at 5:30 in KRY G508 - Accepted Student Panel. Hear from recently accepted students on what they did to get where they are along with any words of wisdom/advice that they have to share. 

Fall 2023

November 8th at 5:30 in KRY G508 - The Pre-Dental Journey From Different Perspectives. Come out to this meeting to hear from a D1 student, a senior, and a junior who have been in/are currently in the application process. 

October 15th at Four Corners - Halloween Service & Benefit Night. This social meeting we had a fun bonding event making cards for children at the UNC Children's Hospital. A portion of the proceeds from the Benefit Night would be donated to Wake Smiles.

September 19th at 6pm in KRY G411- Welcome Meeting. This meeting included a welcome back for previous members as well as an interest meeting for new members. 

Spring 2023

April 13th at Morrison Art Studio. Manual Dexterity Workshop - Bob Ross Painting Event.  This will be another exciting manual dexterity workshop opportunity for you to put on your dental school resume! This will be a fun opportunity to network and meet other pre-dental students and a great way to destress during exam season! 

March 22nd 2023 at 6pm in KRY G508 -

Guest Speaker: Mr. Lowery, Assistant Dean of Student Recruitment and Engagement at ASoD. He will be sharing his wisdom with us, so come prepared with questions! We are partnering with many Pre-Dental/Pre-Health organizations on campus, so this meeting will be an excellent opportunity to network. This meeting is open to all students who are interested, so bring a friend! Snacks will be provided.This is for sure a meeting to not miss!!!! RSVP here.

 Februrary 15th 2023 at 6pm in KRY G508 -

D1, D2, D3, and D4 Adams School of Dentistry Dental Student Panel.  

This meeting will be a panel of several ASoD students from all over the US. They will be answering several prepared questions along with a time for Q & A at the end. Come to learn about how they studied for the DAT, interview tips, extracurricular advice, and much more! This is an excellent opportunity to make connections and meet students with similar interests!! We hope to see you there.

January 25th 2023 at 6pm in KRY G508 - 

Magical Moments and Manual Dexterity Workshop. 

Magical Moments is an incredible wish-granting organization for children with craniofacial disorders (very similar to Make-A-Wish). They work to make a difference in these children’s lives, spread awareness of the lifelong harm caused by appearance-related service hours and applications for committee positions in the organization. The second half of the meeting will be a Manual Dexterity Workshop! We will be providing clay for you all to make crafts with! Manual dexterity is a skill that is essential in dental school! You can also use this workshop as a talking point regarding manual dexterity in your interviews and applications for dental school!

Fall 2022

November 29th 2022 at 6pm - 

Spicy 9 Benefit/Social Night. 

Portion of the Proceeds will go to Wake Smiles!

November 2nd 2022 at 6pm in KRY G405- 

D1 Student Panel: Kelly Doyle, Catherine Bingham, and Amr Saleh. 

This meeting will be a panel of D1 students from various backgrounds (out of state, in state, students that have taken gap years, students that graduated early) that will explain how they studied for the DAT, interview tips, and anything they did that helped them secure a spot in dental school.This meeting will be a great way for you all to make connections with students that are currently in UNC ASOD!
