About the Club

Mission Statement

 Veritas Short Films is a community for students passionate about making, watching, and discussing films. We offer hands-on opportunities to create award-winning short films and share them at campus premieres and film festivals, fostering both artistic growth and a vibrant film culture at UMD.

Students can explore roles such as actors, directors, screenwriters, crew, and more, as we aim to create a welcoming environment for building creative skills and collaboration. We also provide a space to connect with others who enjoy watching films through movie nights, trivia game nights, and other events.
