The Graduate Student Senate (GSS) is the governing body for all graduate students at UMass Dartmouth. If you want to see positive changes in your graduate student experience, engage with the GSS and get involved in our activities!
All GSS General Senate meetings are open, so all graduate students can hear and discuss the issues we are addressing! The schedule of GSS General Senate meetings can be found here. We invite you to join us!
If you have a specific issue to discuss, please let us know at least one week in advance so we can add it to the meeting agenda: gss@umassd.edu
The GSS hosts social, professional, and advocacy events. Our upcoming events are listed on our Calendar webpage. Please join us at any or all of these events! Connect with your Senators, enjoy the company of your peers, and participate in positive change for your graduate student community.
Stay informed and up-to-date on GSS activities by joining our mailing list. Be the first to know about our events and other important graduate student information by subscribing here.
Becoming a graduate student Senator is a great way to advocate for graduate student issues! Senators act as a liaison between graduate students and the University.
General elections take place in the Spring semester. More information about Senator elections can be found here.
