Ultimate 23/30 - Woodwind

An excellent vessel that has been well maintained over the 25 years that the current owners have enjoyed this boat.  Features a “sugar scoop” stern, as new sails, as new 9.9HP Mariner 4 stroke outboard motor and many extras, together with a tandem trailer in good condition.

Ultimate 18S/109 - Jolly Frog  *** Sold

This is a rare opportunity to acquire an outstanding and unique swing keel Ultimate 18 !

"Jolly Frog" and her trailer have been meticulously maintained and are in excellent condition inside, outside & underneath.

Very comfortably set up for cruising , “Jolly Frog” has cruised extensively across Vic, NSW & SA.

She also has an extraordinary race record having won 12 State Championships and many other racing events.

The swing keel Ultimate design has huge advantages. When the keel is up the cabin is clear (photo) and provides a seat for cooking etc.   The bulk of the keel weight is where it should be, as low as possible and in the event of touching bottom the keel fairly harmlessly folds backwards.  The disadvantage is the open slot and large keel cavity which can cause significant drag.

However - unlike most swing keel boats, “Jolly Frog” has an ingenious and unique flap system that completely covers the keel slot and cavity when sailing, thus eliminating drag.

Sails included: Main  sail with either leech battens or through batten, Head sails : 2 x No 1 Genoas , No 2 Jib, No 3 Storm Jib and  2 x Spinnakers.

Instruments: Speedo and depth meter, 2 radios: VHF and AM/FM with disc player.

Keel: Fibreglass coated with polyurethane finish.

Rudder: Hand crafted, laminated , fibreglass coated.

Motor is a recent model Mariner 5HP outboard (just been serviced) with stand / trolley.

Ultimate 23/28 - Summer Wine          *** Sold  ***

An excellent example of this type of trailer sailer which features a  "sugar scoop" stern, flat floor inside and pop top ensuring easy access, with good internal space and headroom. It is a white hull with red and blue striping and has been previously anti-fouled.

Summer Wine comes well setup for cruising or racing, with a full set of sails from Peter Green Sails in very good condition, including a main sail, Jib Furler with No.1 jib and spinnaker, plus two Hutton self-tailing two speed winches, two main anchors and a small supplementary anchor.

The Yamaha 8hp outboard is in excellent condition, the trailer is registered and comes with an electric winch.

It has a sleeping capacity of 6: the forward v-berth has custom springs under foam cushions, the two aft berths have foam cushions and the galley table can be converted to an additional three quarter double bed with foam cushions.
