Steering: CAN DO's for you to Make An Impact
At our U-Act meeting Sunday we talked about the critical events happening in the Senate this week as the budget deadline looms. Below is a summary of CAN DO's for you to make an impact. Senate Democrats need to say no to the appropriations bill funding ICE. We need to reinforce their will and express our support.
1. Email Senator Schumer, urging united party support for rejecting the proposed funding for ICE without restraints.

Steering: Tomorrow, Jan. 28, 7 pm New Paltz Village Hall
Ulster County Proclamation in honor of Tom Rocco
At the joint meeting of the Village and Town of New Paltz, an Ulster County Proclamation in honor of Tom Rocco will be presented to his wife Ellen. The meeting will be held Wednesday, January 28 at 7pm in the Village Hall, 25 Plattekill Ave.
Tom was a much loved and esteemed leader of U-Act. We mourn his passing and are gratified that he is recognized and honored with this proclamation. We hold him and Ellen close to our hearts.The proclamation will be presented in the earlier part of the regular meeting, which also can be viewed on zoom or youtube.
