Support U-Act. 13 days to raise $300!
Good news: U-Act (Ulster Activists) is currently eligible through Indivisible for a matching grant of $300. We would need to raise that amount ourselves before August 31st. The money we raised in the past has paid for our regular monthly and annual expenses, and allowed us to buy items that support our work (ie: a canopy, banners, supplies related to written materials, and food for our events). We're hoping to purchase other items in the future, including U-Act lawn signs and maybe even a billboard ((dream big!), and continue to plan new events.

Join one of her Town Halls (next one 8-25). The average New Yorker family paid $27,188¹ for health insurance in 2024, and 740,000 New Yorkers have medical debt.² The New York Health Act would provide universal healthcare coverage, eliminate co-pays, deductions, premiums, and provider networks—and save the state $16.8 billion per year³. Assembly Member Sarahanna Shrestha has asked constituents to complete this survey regarding experiences with healthcare in order to gain data regarding the NY Health Act. and how it would benefit our area.
