Election:: Be a Poll Inspector-Make a Difference
With President Trump attempting to nationalize elections, prevent access to voting with the SAVE ACT-requiring proof of citizenship, and finding ways to sabotage elections, we can make a difference by becoming a poll inspector. One learns how votes are processed, counted, and protected. By being a poll inspector you are part of the system to ensure that each person has access to the election and their vote is counted.
You get paid for poll inspector training and working on Election Day.
Bill # S1842/A6138 was passed by the NYS legislature and signed by Governor Hochul on 1/14/26 allowing poll inspectors to split shifts on Election Day. This means that instead of working 12 hours each person works a 7-8 hour shift. Ask a friend or spouse to split the shift with you. Just inform the Ulster County Board of Elections.
Please e-mail me at eleernfnp@gmail.com that you are applying and I will forward your name to Commissioner Torres, Ulster County Board of Elections,.

Indivisible: Tuesday Phonebanking~
We have an opportunity to rein in ICE and Border Patrol at the federa level. Congress is currently negotiating funding for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which includes ICE and Border Patrol. We are demanding our members of Congress write a bill that stops the violence in our communities and holds ICE and Border Patrol agents accountable. This is our opportunity to put significant restrictions on these agencies and ensure they don’t get a single penny more to enable their brutality. So, we've decided to keep up the pressure and make sure they hear from us. Join us every Tuesday at 1 pm ET, while DHS funding is being negotiated, to engage voters in key states and encourage them to call their members of Congress and tell them to hold the line, and demand that ICE’s terror tactics be stopped for good.
