To date, all relevant research concerning equestrian helmet testing standards and studies have been gathered. These standards and studies have been used to improve the previously constructed rail system by incorporating a release mechanism. A CAD drawing was created to illustrate the connection between the headform and the carriage. Furthermore, spring calculations were conducted to determine the best spring option to send the carriage down the rail system.
The Fall 2020 semester was spent researching equestrian helmet testing, gathering standards, and conceptualizing the team's design. Spring 2020 will be used to purchase materials, fabricate parts, and begin testing/analyzing our design.
