Annual UKRFBN Symposium 2022

UK Redox Flow Battery Network (UK RFBN)

6th Annual Meeting of the UK RFBN on the 11th July 2022

The UK Redox Flow Battery Network will be holding it's 6th Annual Meeting on the 11th July 2022 from 10:30 - 16:30 BST.

Registration is free but you must register to attend. There are two options, in-person or on-line. We cannot yet guarantee the online option, but hope to hole the event in a hybrid way.

The link to register in Eventbrite is here.

If you are interested in sharing your research with the UK Flow Battery community, please send us a title and short abstract (no more than 1 pg) by June 30th.

Abstracts welcome from students, postdoctoral researchers, established academics and industry.

Deadline for abstracts is 30th June 2021

Here we discuss everything from novel ideas and emerging technology to the evaluation of established systems and long term issues. Electrode architecture, new electrolytes, catalysis of processes, mitigating side reactions, membranes, membrane free designs, lowering costs, improved efficiency, and so on. We will try to accommodate as many talks as possible, and these are not restricted to UK speakers if we can make that work.

If you have any questions concerning the symposium and meeting then please contact us on our email address ukrfbn@gmail.com. We will keep you informed as soon as we have a programme. We look forward to receiving your abstracts and seeing you in person where possible!

The network aims to engage with all researchers interested in electrochemical energy storage across the United Kingdom. Please do join us to help shape our future research and networking activities.

Confirmed Keynote Speakers

Peter Klusener, Shell

Peter will tell us all about the various redox flow battery projects Shell Plc are supporting within the UK and perhaps outside of the UK too. It is an interesting venture for Shell as they explore the possibility of fuel by electrons.

RFC Power

Spin out company RFC Power Ltd based in London will dicuss their innovative appraoch to RFBs and giving some insight into creating a company in this area.
