Refugees who clearly arrive from Ukraine and travel to any destination in Hungary, regardless of gender and age, can travel on Máv-Start flights for FREE with the so-called Solidarity ticket!
They need to ask this at the cashier.
“There are several Hungarians who offered free shelter and transportation for Ukrainian refugees, and also a lot of "charity convoy" is going to leave to the Ukrainian border with donations during the weekend.
1) If you know about people in need, you can let this group know (It is Hungarian, but I think you can post in English, I am also very happy to help with translation).
2) There are several locations accepting donations in the country and in Budapest as well. Items they need: non-perishable food, bottled water, hygienic items, warm clothes, sleeping bags, mattresses.
