The University of Iowa SIAM Student Chapter

Welcome!

This is the webpage for the student chapter of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) at the University of Iowa. The purpose of SIAM is to further the application of mathematics to industry and science, to promote basic research in mathematics leading to new methods and techniques useful to industry and science, and to provide media for the exchange of information and ideas between mathematicians and other technical and scientific personnel. Our chapter provides a platform for undergraduate and graduate students interested in applied mathematics and computational sciences by hosting events, talks, and activities designed to foster networking and professional development in the context of industrial and applied mathematics.

If you want to join our mailing list, please contact our chapter president Nikita Kapur at nikita-kapur@uiowa.edu.
