Each Terry Scholar is required to participate in our 3 yearly mandatory events. This includes Terry Orientation, banquet (held at the Hilton Hotel), and George Ranch Picnic. If you need to request an excused absence, discuss the merits with Alice Yang, our Terry Campus Coordinator. Alice will indicate if you may make a request to be viewed by the Foundation. These request must be submitted no later than one week prior to the event unless an emergency arises.
In addition, each UH Terry Scholar is required to participate in 1 social, 1 volunteering, and 1 workshop per semester. If you have concerns about meeting this requirement, please reach out to you officers at uhterryofficers@gmail.com.
Maintain full time enrollment (at least 12 hours) each semester, of which only 6 credit hours can be online (this includes, asynchronous, synchronous, and hybrid courses)
have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 each semester
have a semester GPA of at least 2.0 each semester
attend all mandatory Terry Foundation Events
Complete FAFSA each year
submit a self evaluation letter annually by the deadline
comply with university's code of conduct
