hilltop/millcreek-west students collect UHIE Data!

Location: Hilltop School/Millcreek-West Unity Local Schools, Beachwood, Ohio, U.S.A.

Description: It was a beautiful and sunny Fall day when Mrs. Abbie Smith's students went outside to collect surface temperature data for the UHIE study! Mrs. Smith's students learned about the UHIE and how to collect the data during a virtual class visit from GLOBE Mission EARTH Research Assistant, Sara Mierzwiak. The students wanted to run outside and collect the data during the virtual visit, so that's what they did! 

Dr. C's students collect UHIE Data!

Description: Check out Dr. C's students on the UT campus participating in the UHIE study! They collected Surface Temperature, Air Temperature and Clouds data from around the University campus, including the Glass Bowl Stadium. They even tried out the new TerraRovers, remotely-controlled vehicles equipped with sensors on them!

Upward bound students collect UHIE Data at ut!

Description: These high school students from the Upward Bound Program at the University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio participated in the UHIE study during the Summer of 2021. Students collected Surface Temperature, Air Temperature and Clouds data from around the University campus and surrounding parks and natural areas.
