Below you'll find some featured members of our team, showcasing a wide range of areas of study and levels of experience, but who all share a common goal and pride in their work on Little Shop of Horrors!
Alexander "Alex" Bass (he/him) | second-year theatre and psychology AB
Proudest Work: I’m very proud to have been given the opportunity to work with all these amazing people and learn from the incredible minds coming together to produce this show. But on a deeper level, I’m proud that I’ve been given the opportunity to represent the queer community, specifically the trans community, through my portrayal of Seymour. All I want is to prove that my people are just as talented, layered, and capable as all the other actors and actresses out there—and so far, I’ve been told I’m doing an incredible job uplifting my people. If my success can bring more attention to trans issues in our country and on our campus, then my work here is done, ya know?
Brie Hayes (she/her) | fourth-year theatre AB
Proudest Work: Assisting in the costume shop
Fallon-Elliot Smith (he/him) | fourth-year theatre AB
Proudest Work: All the hard work that’s gone into the characterization of Audrey II is something that’s taken quite some time to grow into and learning how to be comfortable being bigger than life and exist outside of my normal box
Bella Smith (she/her) | third-year theatre AB
Proudest Work: High school matinee invitations and ticket distribution
Ariel Ford (she/her | third-year theatre AB
Proudest Work: I've loved getting to learn the music! I love to sing, and even though certain songs were a little difficult to learn, hearing the blend come together with your castmates is so worth it!
Michael Romero (he/him) | third-year costume design MFA
Proudest Work: This is my first time costume designing a musical. It had a lot of unique challenges that straight plays don’t have. One was developing the complete looks for our two drag queens. Combining my designs with the talents of stitchers in the costume shop and members of the drag queen community created a dramatic and unique look for the characters.
Cody Russell (he/him) | second-year design MFA
Proudest Work: The puppets!
Jacob Yurkovich | second-year lighting design MFA
Victoria Turk (she/her) | first-year design MFA
Sloan Elle Garner (she/her) | first-year theatre and performance studies PhD
Proudest Work: The program note! I was inspired by a 1955 edition of Better Homes and Gardens and a 1958 edition of Famous Monsters of Filmland. I then wrote ads in the styles of those two magazines based on references in or other contextual information about the show. I collected the photos and divided the pages into the normative ideas of the 1950s and the subversive ideas of the (mostly) 1960s which both run through our show. After looking up fonts from that time period, I added those, the inspirational magazine issues, the ads I wrote, and the pictures to an email to Clay. He made my dream a reality! I couldn't be more pleased with how they turned out. It's a great balance of thematic, historical, and contextual material for our audiences.
Myles Krachman (he/him) | second-year theatre and accounting AB
Proudest Work: I've enjoyed being super involved with all parts of the show: analyzing the show and creating documents for the SM team, attending production meetings and seeing the design of the show develop, and assisting in the rehearsal room and watching the actors grow.
Alice Ware (she/they) | fourth-year theatre AB (stage management emphasis)

Proudest Work: I am truly just grateful for the opportunity to work on such an incredible show. The creative vision is absolutely magical, and learning from profession Drag Queens not only about makeup, but also their experiences, makes this show even more special. I'm so excited to get to work!
Baylen Whorton (they/them) | first-year civil engineering
Proudest Work: I am most proud of being able to let the actors shine, this cast is so talented and every night I am so happy I get to support their craft!
Marshall Smith (he/him) | third-year graphic design BFA and digital marketing BBA
Proudest Work: Assisted Clay Chastain in producing a really high quality interview to promote the show coupled with behind-the-scenes footage that he cut together. While I was not responsible for the video, I had a fantastic time setting up the lighting equipment and flower backdrop for the shoot. On top of this, I'm proud of how the program lends itself to the style of the 50s, which I was a large part in producing.
